After Akshay Kumar in 2.0, now director Shankar signs Abhishek Bachchan for Indian 2 featuring Kamal Haasan
Since a long time, there were the reports that director S Shankar is looking for a Bollywood actor to sign opposite Kamal Haasan in his next directorial venture Indian 2. Post the success of the film 2.0 starring Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar, director Kamal Haasan announced the sequel of his film Indian starring Kamal Haasan. Even in the past few days, the makers released some look posters of the film.
Now the latest development is that S Shankar has signed Abhishek Bachchan who was last seen in Anurag Kashyap's Manmarziyaan for Indian 2. This will be the first time when Abhishek Bachchan will star in any Tamil film and that too in the leading role. Reports are also that Abhishek may star as a cop in the film and his role will be powerful.
The interesting thing is that this film will also be made under the same banner of Lyca Productions those made the film mega-budget film 2.0. This is to notice that 2.0 collected around 700 crores from overall India, especially the film collected around 190 crores from Hindi version.
