He said, "Yes, he has been hospitalised but it's due to throat and lung infection. His condition is not as critical as reported...But of course, lung infection is not an easy health problem to deal with either".
Earlier, Jain himself took to social media to reveal that he is hospitalised at the time when his film is hitting the theatres. In a heartfelt note, he thanked the team of Manikarnika and others for making a beautiful film. Here's the post:.
Apart from Kangana, Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi also features actors Ankita Lokhande, Mishti Chakraborty, Nihar Pandya and Danny Denzongpa among others. Starring Kangana in the titular role, the film is releasing on January 25. It's facing a Box Office clash with another biopic, Thackeray starring Nawazuddin Siddiqui in the lead. The film is based on the life of Maharashtra's celebrated political leader Balasaheb Thackeray. Earlier, commenting on the clash, Kangana has said that no one from the team of Thackeray approached them to shift the release date of Manikarnika, and therefore, she doesn't feel there's any need to avoid the clash..
